What will my child’s evaluation include?

Reading evaluations include tests for phonics, word recognition and comprehension. Math evaluations test for computation and word problem expertise as well as math vocabulary and attitude toward math.

SAT evaluations are full mock SAT exams proctored in our office.

After each of these evaluations we will sit with you to discuss

your results as well as your goals for the future.

How long is a typical program?

Each of our programs is custom designed for each student. Most of our reading and math students attend Red Apple twice weekly. The average program lasts seven months, but some programs are shorter and others are longer. Red Apple’s SAT Bootcamp generally includes sessions each Sunday afternoon into evening.

How long is each lesson?

Each lesson is usually one hour, although some students have longer lessons.

What is the teacher to student ratio?

Our teachers work one-on-one or one-on-two with students.

How soon will I notice results?

Most students begin to notice results about eight weeks after beginning their program.

Will my child have homework?

Much like music lessons, most of our programs require students to practice particular skills a few times per week. This increases the improvement that your child will achieve.

How is Red Apple’s program different from other centers?

Our programs use true multi-sensory instruction methods. These methods have been proven to be far superior to standard teaching methods and workbook exercises used elsewhere.

How much does an evaluation cost?

Full evaluation for reading or math, including a written report is $99.

Does insurance cover any of the treatment cost?

Some medical insurance plans partially cover the treatment cost for medical-visual difficulties. To determine your coverage we will provide you with a diagnosis after the evaluation. Then, you can phone your insurance provider and learn what your coverage allowances will be.
