The following information will explain how Red Apple Learning Centers can help your child learn. The links on the home page help explain these problems in much more detail.
Our purpose here is to explain how Red Apple Learning Centers use Dr. Falbo’s proven techniques to help children who are having difficulty in any of these areas.
Early intervention is critical to helping a student learn at the expected level of his/her peers.
- Your child's program begins with an evaluation based on his/her needs. Tests may include the following: reading fluency, reading comprehension, word recognition, phonics (decoding) and visual perception.
- The secret to our success is the enjoyable, multi-sensory strategy that we employ. Various portions of our programs have been endorsed in Newsweek and Time magazines as well as by noted medical doctors and educators. Our success has drawn students from as far away as Atlanta, Georgia and Kansas City, Kansas.
- Under the care of our certified teachers, specialized speech strategies build phonics skills, computer programs strengthen reading fluency, and various manipulatives instill word recognition. Students learn using their senses of touching, hearing, and seeing.
- Dyslexic students employ strategies that help unscramble many words that they find challenging. This is done by teaching them how to recognize the proper order of letters and sounds within words.
- Our reading comprehension program is designed to build vocabulary and improve visualization when reading. For more advanced students, critical thinking skills are taught.
- Above all, each student is challenged to achieve his/her highest potential.
- Dr. Falbo's teaching methods help children excel in their abilities. Each of our instructors uses powerful positive techniques that build self-esteem. Dr. Joe collaborated with reading specialists and medical doctors to develop Red Apple’s programs. He uncovered teaching techniques that are proven to build the reading skills of dyslexics. Most importantly, at the Red Apple Learning Centers, our programs are fun for students.
