Comprehension

Red Apple Learning Centers’ See and Say program builds reading comprehension skills by enhancing the student’s imagery. Step by step the student learns to “see” what he reads.  He paints pictures in his mind to visualize stories.  Gradually, he then begins to link these pictures together to form fluid, action-packed movies.  Then, when he is asked to recall information from the story he simply replays the movie in his mind.

At later stages, this powerful program builds Higher Order Thinking Skills.  These enable the student to predict what might happen next in a story.  These also develop the student’s ability to draw inferences from stories.

These skills are then applied to everything the student reads throughout high school, SAT exams and into college.
